Aston Martin Unveils the Ultra-Exclusive Valiant

Aston Martin has announced the Valiant, a track-focused, road-legal special edition car, limited to just 38 units globally. This latest masterpiece from Aston Martin’s bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin, continues the brand’s tradition of creating unique, high-performance vehicles.

Valiant’s inception began with a personal commission from Formula One driver Fernando Alonso. Inspired by his 23-year racing career and desire for a more extreme version of the Aston Martin Valour, Valiant embodies Aston Martin’s commitment to building pure driver’s cars. The car is powered by a 745PS Twin Turbo 5.2-litre V12 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission, delivering unparalleled driving intensity both on the road and on the track.

Valiant stands alongside a distinguished lineage of Aston Martin vehicles like the hypercar Valkyrie, the sports car Vantage, and the upcoming mid-engine supercar Valhalla. Its design reflects a blend of Aston Martin’s iconic heritage and modern performance, featuring state-of-the-art technology and materials.

Fernando Alonso expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Valiant is born from my passion for driving at the limit and I have enjoyed working closely with the Q by Aston Martin team on both the design and technical specification.”

Key engineering highlights of Valiant include a 3D-printed rear subframe, magnesium torque tube, lightweight 21” magnesium wheels, and a motorsport-spec lithium-ion battery, all contributing to significant weight reduction. The car also features Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) dampers, providing advanced suspension technology for optimal ride and handling.

The Valiant’s aggressive bodywork, crafted extensively from lightweight carbon fibre, is designed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The car’s interior combines race-bred functionality with Aston Martin’s luxurious design, featuring Recaro Podium seats, a bespoke steering wheel, and a cutaway transmission tunnel showcasing the gear linkage.

Aston Martin’s Director of Vehicle Performance, Simon Newton, highlighted Valiant’s increased track capability and usability on the road. The car’s design and engineering aim to provide an unparalleled driving experience, making it a masterpiece for true driving connoisseurs.

Valiant will make its public debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, with deliveries commencing in Q4 2024.
