Automobili Lamborghini just revealed the Lamborghini Urus SE, their first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) Super SUV, at the Volkswagen Group Media Night before its public debut at Auto China Beijing 2024. This new version has an 800 CV hybrid powertrain that uses both thermal and electric sources to improve comfort, performance, efficiency, and emissions, with an 80% reduction in emissions. Lamborghini’s CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, sees the Urus SE as a move towards the company’s electrification plan. The vehicle offers an amazing driving experience, with a plug-in hybrid system that boosts performance and dynamics on any surface. The revamped twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine works together with the electric powertrain, giving 620 CV of power and 800 Nm of torque from the combustion unit, along with an electric powertrain providing 192 CV and 483 Nm of torque. The Urus SE has advanced technical features like electric torque vectoring and electronic rear differential, ensuring the best power output and driving experience in all modes and on any surface. Its lithium-ion battery allows for over 60 km of electric range, making it great for city driving.

Design-wise, the Lamborghini Urus SE flaunts updated looks and improved aerodynamics, with new elements adding sportiness and aerodynamic efficiency.
